International Craft Beer Week…
That was the ad I noticed in a local paper last Tuesday, so I decided to stop out and try the new restaurant Twiisted, located in beautiful & busy Medina, Ohio. Twiisted – Sushi • Grill • Bar has ample parking and a very inviting entrance. The staff were very genuine… In fact, I didn’t tell them I’m a publisher at Arlo’s Craft Beer Guide until the end of my meal.
Obviously my eyes went directly to the craft beer selections first, and they had a nice variety. In fact, Executive Chef, Lee Ruffier told me they want to keep expanding the craft beer selections, and keep rotating in fresh options that pair well with their menu.

I’ve heard great things about their sushi… actually from their sushi food truck “Shushi On the Roll” so I was assuming the sushi from the Twiisted kitchen would not disappoint. We ordered a couple rolls, Spicy Crab, and the Hawaiian Roll (see photo) which were fantastic. I paired my sushi roll with Left Hand Brewery’s Milk Stout which enhanced the flavors in both. We also received complimentary seasoned edamame which was very flavorful. After our meal, Executive Chef, Lee Ruffier stopped by our table and explained how they locally source as much food as they can, and all their fish is delivered as fresh as possible (without living by a coast). Next time we’re out there we are going to try their gourmet burgers and steaks. I noticed the excitement on his face while explaining their expanded menu.
Overall I was extremely impressed with Twiisted Sushi • Grill • Bar, we chose to sit in the spacious bar. They had multiple flat screen TV’s and it was the night of the NBA Draft Lottery. Unbelievably, the Cleveland Cavs won the 1st pick later that evening. If you’re a Martini & Cocktail person, they have a long list of drinks that will keep the party moving for sure.
