Here is another installment from Mark Pyle and the boys at the Erie Better Beer Bureau. Check out their vintage review of Firestone Walker’s 12th Anniversary (8yrs. old), a blend of some of their other beers ~ 7 years of aging.
Aroma – Smells delicious, Bourbon forward, English toffee, dark fruit, very little oxidation
Taste – Very smooth, dark fruit, toffee notes, tastes like a stout and old ale mixed, blends nicely
Blind scores: 4.5, 4.5, 4.5 ABV 12%
Perfect carbonation, balance of the old ale & stout… Pleasure to drink!
