Pints, Forks & Friends Field Notes
Working with the Prevailing Path team opened up the opportunity for me to travel down to the Brand Innovators #BISUMMIT hosted at the Braxton Brewing Company -which is located right across the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky. I’ve met a few of other Cincinnati brewers, but Braxton was a new one for me which is always exciting, and learning Evan Rouse’s story was very inspiring.
The Brand Innovators is a conference focused on content marketing, and how it has become a core strategy for Fortune 500 brands. Many leading brands are viewing content marketing as a “top of funnel” function. I think the one thing I pulled from this conference is how great content (articles, stories, personal posts) puts everything in motion, especially using bits and pieces of it for social media sharing. The style of the conference was more personalized and intimate – meaning everyone there truly was excited to listen and learn from all of the speakers.
Side Notes
- In the Braxton Brewing Tap Room, it features a hulacious couch, biggest I’ve ever seen;)
- Thanks for a copy of your new book! Host: Dave Knox, Managing Director, WPP Ventures, Author of Predicting The Turn: The High Stakes Game of Business Between Startups & Blue Chips
- Hooked Jake Rouse up with some Pints, Forks & Friends coasters
- Content Marketing – Taking on the challenge head on and producing content in-house, the key is to create something that doesn’t feel like advertising, but is informative, entertaining, or otherwise relevant to people’s lives and interests.
