Mike Mariola Restaurants Opens The Rail in Dublin
Dublin, OH – Feb. 26, 2018 – Mike Mariola Restaurants today announced the opening of The Rail, a full-service restaurant featuring burgers, steaks, brunch and the largest selection of Ohio craft brews, in Dublin. This is the first Rail location outside of Northeast Ohio.
Mike Mariola opened the first Rail in 2011 in Akron and now has five Ohio locations – Akron, Canton, Dublin, North Olmsted and Strongsville. The Rail is known for burgers and creative American fare in a fun, relaxed setting and boasts the largest selection of Ohio craft brews with 24 unique options on draft.
The Rail locally sources ingredients, including 100 percent of its burgers and beer, as well as cheese, vegetables, milk, ice cream and more. The restaurant draws a mixed crowd, including business people for lunch, professionals and college students for happy hour and couples and families for dinner and weekend brunch. The Rail also offers Ohio Beer School at various locations in which the brewer pairs fine beers with appetizers and snacks from the menu, sharing fun facts about the brewery and beers in a laid-back social setting.
The Dublin location will be the first freestanding Rail and will feature traditional and communal bar seating, as well as a four-season patio with garage doors that will open in nice weather.
The Rail will employ approximately 100 hospitality workers at its Dublin location.
“The Columbus area has been on my radar for years as residents here have an appreciation for good and diverse dining options,” said Mike Mariola, president of Mike Mariola Restaurants. “There are some underserved areas in the region, and the demand is growing as Columbus continues to grow.”
Mariola also owns The City Square Steakhouse in Wooster, OH, which features steaks, burgers, fresh seafood and vegetarian entrées; cocktails; and house-made sides and desserts.

About Mike Mariola Restaurants
In 2002, after returning from internships with esteemed French chefs Christian Constant in Paris and Michael Richard in Washington, DC, Mike Mariola opened South Market Bistro, a small eatery in rural Wooster, Ohio, that specialized in seasonal, chef-driven, locally sourced menu – farm-to-table before the term was even introduced. He then opened The City Square Steakhouse in September 2008 across the street and transitioned from Executive Chef to Restaurateur. Offering hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood and pastas and an impressive bar, the Steakhouse also served locally sourced burgers. His next venture was a burger bar concept, and in 2011, Mariola opened the first Rail in Akron, OH. Specializing in locally sourced burgers, Ohio craft beers and hand-dipped milkshakes, The Rail now has additional locations in North Olmsted, Canton, Strongsville and Dublin.
