Erie Better Beer – Blind Review
Here is another installment from Mark Pyle and the boys at the Erie Better Beer Bureau. Check out their review of Three Floyds Portuguese Brandy Dark Lord, a 15% Imperial Stout aged in Brandy Barrels from Three Floyds out of Munster, Indiana.
Aroma – Berry, Plums, More Fruit than norm Barrel Aged Stout, Bourbon.
Taste – Big Sweetness, earthy oaky, sweet molasses, backend fruit, a little creamy chocolate, warmth.
Blind scores: 4.5, 4.5, and 4.5. Incredible Beer, almost too sweet, delicious though.
