About Castle Island Brewing:

“I’ve told the story about 100 times and it actually doesn’t become old. The simple fact that our families have such a special history, nevertheless Pat and I hadn’t known each other prior to working together; coupled with just how fast we got along even before figuring out the relationship — you simply can’t help but think about how people are linked.”

Derek, one of Castle Island’s longest standing workers that has worked positions from the taproom, production, and today marketing, mentioned to Patrick his dad recommended checking out a former colleague and buddy’s band, Boston’s Erin Og, who was enjoying a series in the area. That former colleague had been Patrick’s father and they quickly realized that not only had their fathers understood each other, but their grandfathers had worked together at a Budweiser supply warehouse. This Father’s Day, Castle Island Brewing will commemorate the holiday with a fresh beer release plus a backstory that weaves three generations together through beer. This shared history entails two present Castle Island team members, their families, and a Czech pilsner release on Sunday, June 16th, providing a nod to where the story began.
