    • Vegetables & Herbs:

      • 1 Onion (white or Spanish), finely chopped
      • 0.5 each of Red and Green Bell peppers, diced
      • 2 ribs of Celery, diced
      • 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
      • 6 sprigs of Fresh Parsley
      • 1 Bay leaf
    • Seasonings & Spices:

      • 0.5 tsp Paprika (Spanish variety)
      • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
      • Sea salt to taste (Check before serving)
      • 1 tsp. Dried basil
      • 1 tsp. Dried thyme
      • Pinch (or to taste) Cayenne pepper, ground
      • 0.25 tsp Garlic powder
      • 0.25 tsp Onion powder
    • Liquids:

      • 1 cup Beer (Recommendations: Abita Amber or Great Lakes)
      • 3 cups Seasoned stock or water
      • 2 tbsp L&P Worcestershire sauce
    • Cooking Oil:

      • 0.25 cup High heat oil (e.g., Soybean)

Preparation Method:

  1. Start by heating oil in a shallow pan. Once it’s warm, add the garlic. Brown it just enough to release its aromatic essence.
  2. Swiftly move on to add all the diced vegetables and seasonings. Cook them until they soften, letting each ingredient meld into the other.
  3. Pour in the beer and stock. Let the mixture simmer and reduce for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to intensify.
  4. Now, for the stars of the dish – the shrimp! Add them to the pan and cook until they’re perfectly done. You’ll know they’re ready when they curl and transition from a dark red hue to a rich orange. This should take around 3-5 minutes.
  5. Serving suggestion: Dish out these sumptuous BBQ shrimp as an appetizer. Pair with plenty of fresh French bread, ideal for soaking up that delicious sauce.

And there you have it, a taste of New Orleans right on your plate. We hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we loved sharing it. Cheers to good food and great memories!
